I recently spoke with Sanford Stowe, Derrick's brother (Class of '64), a retired attorney living in MA. He told me that Derrick moved to Australia early on, married and had three children. He was head of a science department of Lauriston Girls School near Melbourne. He died of recurrent bone cancer in 2008. He loved golf and played it often. Two years ago, a grandson was born.
