wow, so sad.....she fell......as soon as I saw this announcement, all of the images I could recall of her were ones where she was laughing or smiling or just generally being content.....I can't imagine there was ever anyone who disliked her....our flower child has rejoined her husband.....E.I.P. (enjoy in peace) Kathy

How very sad.  She was always fun to be around.  She lived in a neat house at the corner of Oakwood Avenue and Katherine Terrace.  I thought the street was named for her.

So very sad to learn about Kathy. I have many special childhood memories of playing in her beautiful old house and spending fun moments with her awesome family members.

It’s hard to lose anyone who you valued as a friend, particularly when their life was cut short by a home accident.  I didn’t know Kathy that well since we both ran in different circles, but my remembrances of her was of a girl who seemed to always have a smile on her face and enjoying life.  Based on the many talents that were listed in her obit, I’d say she was spontaneous and probably was a fantastic friend to those who knew her best and not knowing her was very probably my loss.  Rest in peace, Kathy.

Really sorry to hear the news about Kathy.  You're right, Greg........she was a flower child.  And a pretty funny kid, too!  We had some fun times as kids........... OMG....remember she called her Dad "Bugger".....he would just look at her and laugh......hilarious.  And how she always COMPLETELY LOST IT over Mick Jagger!

Our parents were good friends, especially our Moms......her brother Eddie was good friends with my brother.......a lot of connections there.

Farewell, old friend...........

I was so saddened to hear this news. I always thought we’d have time to reminisce again and laugh and laugh at all the crazy, fun times we had together!!  She was my best buddy through most of junior high and high school.  She was definitely our flower child. I will always hold our time together dear to my heart.

This is such sad news. When I returned to Oakwood after several years of living in Washington Township, Kathy was one of the first to welcome me...I remember being fascinated by her cool house. She was a good High School friend. Such sadness.

An anecdote about Kathy came back from my memory bank, one that she is probably still laughing about, like she did when it happened.....I think we were in 5th or 6th grade, out on the playground at Harman, playing some games after school......some woman was there but I did not know who she was....but I thought she bore a resemblish to the cartoon character Goofy (from Donald Duck, etc.).....so I asked Kathy "who is that woman over there that looks like Goofy?"....she started laughing and said "Greg, that's my mom!!!!"....so of course I felt bad about that but then it got WORSE because when Kay (Kathy's mom) came over near us a few minutes later, Kathy immediately said "Mom, he says you look like Goofy!!"...then Kay started laughing, too, so I became the only one of us who was NOT laughing...fortunately, Kay did not hold that against me, as years later I had numerous asphalt dealings with her (and Eddie)....so, Kathy, I would like to thank you now for not hitting me in the mouth that afternoon!
